The play “Radovan III” is a mournful comedy about self-betrayal – a classic work of Serbian literature, written by Dusan Kovacevic (1948) in 1973 in the genre of theater of the absurd or “black comedy”. The protagonist of the play Radovan III, as he casts himself, left his Motherland many years ago in search of better fortune. Now he and his large family live in a modular prefab tower in a dormitory area of a large metropolis. Like every person whose life is going sour, Radovan seeks a reason and comes up with “the enemy from without”, his former compatriots - the Vilotychi. In their Motherland, they grew up together, made friends, and helped each other. Radovan even dreamed of becoming family with the Vilotychi through his daughter Georgina and wanted to arrange a splendid wedding. But life is unpredictable. Marko Vilotych dishonored Georgina, left her and went around the world. Georgina becomes pregnant. And Radovan starts a real war. The Vilotychi are the ones who hinder his decent life. They turned his life into hell, taking away the meaning of life, deprived him of his dignity, dooming his kindred blood - his daughter Georgina – to dishonor. His soul needs revenge. He drags all his relatives into an irreconcilable, brutal conflict with the Vilotychi. Radovan's imagination comes up with a friend and like-minded fellow – George. He is the only one who can save and help him. In fact, George is the main character of one of the many TV series about a “regular hero”, “knight fighting the evil”, “savior of all the oppressed and persecuted”. The expected reunion of the family happens while watching another episode. Here comes the time of Perfection… The old TV becomes a symbol of the victory of good over evil. But it's just a fantasy. Will it come true? Will peace come to the house? Will Georgina and Mark reunite? Will there be a splendid wedding that the father has dreamed of for years?...
